Since our establishment, SAMSHIN has played a significant role in strengthening Korea’s energy infrastructure by successfully localizing key valves for petrochemical, thermal, and nuclear power plants. Building on this foundation, we are further expanding our technological capabilities to meet the demands of the next generation nuclear market. Our current efforts include the development of valves compatible with Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and research into advanced Electro-Hydraulic Operated Valves (EHOV).

The resumption of construction of Shin Hanul Units 3 and 4 represents a significant milestone for the domestic nuclear industry and an important opportunity for SAMSHIN to demonstrate its technological competitiveness. Following the successful localization of safety control valves in Korea, we secured the J232B package, reaffirming the reliability of our engineering capabilities. In addition, the successful award of the Main Steam Safety Valve (M244 package) further strengthens our position as a trusted supplier of critical nuclear safety equipment.

Moreover, the successful completion of UDT Inspection has enabled SAMSHIN to gain formal recognition in international nuclear markets that demand the highest levels of quality assurance and technical expertise. These achievements reflect our strong capability in manufacturing highly specialized safety-critical components.

As global investment in nuclear energy continues to grow, SAMSHIN is entering a new phase of international expansion. Our strategic partnership with Westinghouse represents a key milestone in strengthening our presence in the global nuclear market. Through participation in the AP1000 project, we have demonstrated our capability to supply high-reliability safety valves in advanced nuclear power plants. Building on this partnership established in 2023, we have begun expanding into the maintenance, repair, and replacement (MRR) market for operating nuclear power plants worldwide. This development marks an important transition for SAMSHIN from a component manufacturer to a trusted Key Vendor within the global nuclear power ecosystem. Furthermore, by leveraging Westinghouse AP1000 technology platform, we have secured a competitive advantage in accessing nuclear projects in Europe. Supported by our advanced manufacturing capabilities and our experience in high-level inspection processes, we aim to supply critical nuclear components that meet the stringent safety standards of the European market.
